It's essential that followers of Jesus read God's Word, the Bible, regularly. Daily is probably best because God's Word provides us with the things we need to not only sustain life as a believer but to flourish as Christians. Another tool in the Christian disciplines that helps with our spiritual formation is reading other materials other than the Bible in a devotional way.
